How does one import 20 photos at a time and ensure that the pixel size is 170 pixels as Xara 6 had a view option where one could change the imported settings and 7 doesn't appear to have this or I cannot find it..?

Web Designer 6 does not have that feature. Xara Designer 6 does. You might be able to set this size limit with Bill Taylor's XaReg a free utility available for download in the Xara Xone Shareware page.
As to how to import 20 photos at a time, select the photos in Windows Explorer or on your desktop and drag and drop them onto the page.
