There was more brain than "Braun" went into this one

I used the brush tool for the first time - that's what makes the holes in the cutter foil. Having thought about that last statement - I had an unfortunate incident with a real brush that made great big holes in the *real* cutter foil - ouch

    Looks fabulous Graeme.

I would like to see some life in the colored lights however. Make them look like they are lighted up.

The second one looks realistic. The third attempt is a bit off looking now!!! The lights on the second one have this "on" look, a slight glow to them that tends to make you think the product is ON!! The third is like Braun on drugs (this is your shaver...This is your shaver on drugs.... ) a bit much on the flared lights.

I like 2, it is the perfect one of the bunch!!!

I agree that the foil is great! It's all great!

Klaus... I did wonder about the bright lights but I was game for trying it

You're right - it didn't look right at all so it's back to the way it was.

Still, it was a worthwhile exercise in it's own right to make something look brighter than it actually is

    Cheers!

wonderful image there Graeme. Took me a moment to see the cutter foil holes, the image, I'm sure, is a bit larger in file size, so reduced you have to really look. But, I tell ya, it looks like you could pick that up and turn it on, so photorealistic. NICE WORK!!!

Richard, If I had a web shop – you’d be one of my better customers with a curious shopping trolley containing an old radio valve, telescope and a shaver

Klaus – you taught me a valuable lesson in the Gel Navbar thread. “CAD grey” is not my style now! You threw me when you asked me to turn up the brightness of the lights – they were full red and green already. I added some flare effects to give the illusion of brightness – hope it works!

    Cheers!

    is exceptional.

And you have achieved so much richness in the black body.
