Does this function exist in Xara or is there any way to add this function to my site?

The answer is yes and no. No the function does not exist in any Xara product. But yes, there are solutions that can do this.

Coffee Cup Software's Website Access Manager can do what you want. In short you publish your website, then you use Website Access Manager to add password protection to a page or area of your website. It is not expensive and is fairly easy to use. They have videos that show you how to do it.
