    Yes that would be the easiest. Many people have tried various software that claims to convert bitmaps to vector but if the image is not simple shapes with few colours and very crisp clean edges the outcome is often not very good.

    If you follow the link in my signature below, the tutorial shows you exactly what to do and what you need. It is specifically for beginners, explaining things like vectors and bitmaps too. It's not a best-selling blockbuster, but it will get you where you want to go.
