2D dxf to 3D editable polylines?

Can Xara 3D import a 2D dxf plain line file and convert it into editable 3D polylines (for export in a common 3D file format)?

Sorry but Xara 3D cannot import dxf files and it does not create 3D polylines from any source nor can it export to a 3D file format.

Xara 3D creates a bitmap extrusion effect from a vector shape in a .xar/.web file format or from a metafile of .wmf/.emf format. True Type fonts can also be given the bitmap extrusion effect.
