Adding an audio flash player in Xara Webdesign...problem!

Hello guys,

I've been trying to put an audio flash player in Xara WD6 for the last couple of days, but nothing has worked. The only one that did work was http://www.podsnack.com/, but it isn't free, so that's no(t yet) an option.

I've tried yahoo media player. That one 'worked' in two ways:

1- the yahoo player didn't show on the page, but when i pressed the file/link it started to play in a new window.
2- the yahoo player appeared on the page and when i pressed the file/link the player opened, showed the right song, but didn't play it. (didn't buffer, couldn't hit play)

so, what am i doing wrong there?

The other player i've used was http://www.macloo.com/examples/audio_player/
I really like the look of that.

I've changed the script, and in my opinion, did everything right, but when i pasted the html placeholder in the page it was transparent, and it wasn't clickable at all when i published the site.

So, what am i doing wrong there?

I would really like to use one of them...

Or are there any other great alternatives?

Could you post your .xar [or .web] file? Somebody should be able to spot what is going wrong then

I've used the .xar file from the tweak files http://board.xara-users.info/viewtop...t=1393&start=0

When i place a .swf file, the audio player appears in xara...but how do i link the audio file to the swf file?

Could you post your .xar file, the one where you have the problem?

I have a problem with all the players (dewplayer, yahoo media player, audio player, mp3 player)

I can get the swf file on the site (so it looks like the good player) i just can't link the mp3file to the player right. i've done it a hundred times, and i must be so simple...

With almost every player i've to:

Copy-paste and configure the HTML code with the right MP3 filepath.

I think i'm doing that correctly, but where to place it?

not on the swf-file...(i can't think straight anymore)

Help :-)

There aren't any good youtube 'flash player to xara wd' tutorials....that would be very helpfull.

Well, how about the YouTube embedded demo here ?

Can't tell where you're going wrong with the other stuff without seeing a .xar I'm afraid.

I am using the yahoo mp3.xar from the mp3 tweaks...already posted that. And i mean a youtube movie which explaines how to put a flash audio player in xara..
