    Welcome to TalkGraphics

    There are three ways to add text

    1. Click the Text Tool on the page and start typing
    2. Click the Text Tool on the page and drag to the right to establish a text width - This method will wrap the text to the next line and so forth
    3. Click the Text Tool on the page and drag a rectangle (a text area) and type in your text or copy and paste text from another source.

    Highlight the text and format as desired.

    This might help http://www.xaraxone.com/webxealot/workbook80/ It is not written for Web Designer but the methods are the same.

    How about :-

    [1] Create a placeholder [just a rectangle]
    [2] In web properties>>placeholder>>replace with HTML code:

    Code:
    <textarea cols=50 rows=20>

    Ex id velit ea aliquip, dolor aliquip magna sit. Deserunt sit reprehenderit cillum sunt dolore in in cupidatat excepteur aliquip voluptate ut est commodo lorem sit? Ut magna sit. Aute, irure ut esse, duis incididunt irure excepteur do in et in, ipsum eiusmod magna minim.

    </textarea>

    Hi Marcel,

    Are you wanting to create a text entry field for a form? This cannot be done solely within Web Designer. You would need one of the form widgets or use a placeholder and javascript / PHP code to create the input field.

    There are Form Widgets in the Designs Gallery > Form Widgets folder. If you need a more complex form, try Jotform.

    You can add anything to these forms, text entry boxes, check boxes and radio buttons, and then have the message/information sent to your e-mail address.
