Default Using ProShow Producer 4.5 & Designer Pro 6

    Hi

I've had all sorts of hiccups trying to import the swf file output by ProShow Producer 4.5 into Designer Pro 6. Dragging and dropping the Producer swf creates a huge delay and the Designer Pro status bar displays the message "creating an html placeholder" forever and a day. But Producer also outputs an mp4 file too. Please, how can I import the mp4 WITHOUT the flash player controls? (I just want an undecorated display banner effect that loops.) Presumably I need to alter the placeholder code tags?

    Thanks.

    Welcome to TalkGraphics

Here is how I do it. (Very unscientific). I open the Flash animation on the desktop and do a screen capture (PrtScn) which I used to get the size of the Flash animation.

Ii create a rectangle the same size. With the rectangle selected, I open Web Site Properties > Placeholder tabbed section and use the Replace with Flash function to link the rectangle to the Flash animation. Press Browse, locate your Flash file and select it.

You can try the File > Import > MP4 Placeholder option though I am not sure that is going to do the trick.

There has to be a player of some kind - .mp4 isn't a self-playing video container. It needs a player to decode the vid and audio streams (dejavu? )

For an undecorated banner you must use flash. Gary's method works. You could try SwiffPlayer to find the correct native size of the flash. http://www.globfx.com/products/swfplayer/
