Designer Pro 6 - Cant move design from top of page?

hi All,

I have created a couple of websites where I have been able to move the design down from the top page by pressing CTRL+L and then using the crosshairs to drag the page down to where i need it, however, I am on with a new project and cant the the page to drop by 20 px.

I have also tried to drop by going into Page Options, Grid & Ruler and altering the 'Y' origin to 20px but that does not work either. Any ideas?

Try this. Ctrl drag a drop a color onto the page, even if the color is white. And Ctrl drag and drop a color or repeating texture onto the pasteboard area.

In the Page and Layers Gallery, unlock the page background. Select the page (which is now a rectangle) and drag the top down as desired.

Lock the page background layer and preview the page.

I do it by dragging the rulers as seen in the examples below. Which should produce the same results as jlt's method. I think.

In any case, it is quick.

Or, download this .xar, drag'n'drop a copy of the placeholder-tweak onto each page he wants the top margin. By default this one is set to 30px, but you can edit the code to 20px if preferred.

Mike's tip is correct if you use the origin point cross to drag the distances(s) required However I recently had problems with it when adding pages to a site where all pages were not the same. Whole thing went doolally. Fine if you know in advance how many pages iow*. So just posted alternative because of personal experience And, if you forgive me for saying so, with your method I get an error message saying I can't move page onto the pasteboard
