Please add a simple Sound control to the Flash animation Frame dialog (see attached for layout). This single feature would make Xara a useful eLearning tool. For example, we could use a sound control every time we have to take a Flash from Xara (fast development) and then put it into Adobe Captivate (slow development) to add sound to our eLearning presentations.
Please see attached dummy dialog box... with a file chooser button, so you could select a WAV or MP3 from files on your PC. The sound would play when the frame is entered, and stop when the frame is exited. And, the sound file would be embedded in the output SWF, not linked to it.
And we don't need anything fancy... like volume normalization or amplification, or noise removal, or KHz settings... we can handle all that with outside sound programs... so that whatever audio file we would bring into a Xara frame is already cleaned up and set to a reasonable volume level.
Elearning, as you know, is a HUGE business area -- civilian and military -- and adding this simple Flash Sound control would let Xara give Adobe some real competition.
Thanks, Jon
