A little sketch doodle I drew
What tools did you use? Mouse? Tablet? Electronic nail?

Whatever tools you used John, it's a nice sketch. Although like Gary I would like to know too. Some of those texturing effects are really nice. It looks like a hand drawn image scanned and something else to enhance the line work. Am I to far off with my observation? Anyway whatever you did I like the effect.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
I only used my Wacom and Xara and was doodling in xara...here's a colored version

That is a nice doodle John. The color version is great. I have a Wacom Bamboo Fun, but never use it. I guess I should learn how to doodle like that. My lines keep wanting to join into a shape, just more to learn

ver 6 has a sketch mode button for the freehand&brush tool which should prevent joining most of the time - but the drawn lines are still automatically selected and so it can still happen - you can use Xareg [blobs tab] to tick autodeselect, and then the freehand&brush tool lines will not be selected in the first place when drawn, and so can never join accidentally, this can be done for ver 5 as well as ver 6

Nice sketch especially like the coloured one...Like your style. I might have to invest in one of them wacom tablets.
Thanks, Yeah I love my wacom...here's a pen and paper sketch
Thanks for the info Steve, I'll give it a go .
