Yes Soquili, that is the color of gold bars, but I think if you are doing a "Polished" gold coin it will be more like these with the faint light yellow tint to them

Hi John,
You are correct that some gold coins have the lighter tints. Pure (24kt) gold is too soft for coins and jewelry. Other metals are mixed with the gold to give it more durability. Sometimes the other metal is nickel which lightens the colour, other times the metal is copper which makes it more red or salmon colour. Brass, bronze, zinc, and many other metals have also been used to mix with gold to strengthen it and affecting the colour.
