how do i create a text input box

firstly sorry if this a stupid question, but how do i create a text input box, like in a site search feature?

I'm sure jgt1942 (year I was born too) ,will have a script for this. If you want to add a search box, the way I recommend is to go to Bing.com or Google.com and you can actually build and customize a search box on their sites (Bing is more customizable IMHO). Then you generate a small script, copy it to the clipboard, create a rectangle to the same size as the search box in Xara, and with the rectangle (placeholder) selected, open Website Properties > Placeholder, and paste the script into the Replace with HTML Code text entry box. Press Apply and then preview the page.

thank for the reply gw, unfortunatly the client wants a unique search box (they paid alot for a professional design) i've been using a bing search but need to replace it
