website changes when uploaded

I edited a background shape that was behind a text box to make it less transparent. When I uploaded the edited page the shape was not darker it was gone. Nothing I have tried has solved the problem. I attempted to redo the page and now the images I have on the page do not show up. What am I doing wrong?

How are you publishing your site to your ISP?

When you upload your website you also have to upload the folder that Xara creates when you export/publish. If you save your site with the name index, Xara creates a folder called index_htm_files

This folder contains images, style sheets, java scripts for mouse over effects, and other essential materials. If you do not upload this folder when you publish, the mess you describe can occur. So, be sure this folder gets uploaded and updated.
