Can't drag or apply from Line Gallery

I know I must be doing something wrong but I've never had this problem before. I am trying to place a line on my worksheet by dragging it from the line gallery. Nothing happening. I can select it and see it drag, but as soon as I release the mouse button it disappears. Also tried using the "apply" button on the gallery. Nothing.

you need an existing line that is selected

you can drag a stroke shape onto this - but it does not always take from constant line shape in which case you would need to use apply [which should always work]

There are a few things that might be happening. If the line is very thin, .5pix for example, or even 1 pixel, the effect will be very subtle.

Increase the line width and then see if it is working.

The other thing can be adding Feathering to the line. But usually if you do this you won't see the line at all.

Thanks! Not sure what I was doing, maybe using too thin of a line. And I did find that the drag & drop still does not work, but "apply" does. Thanks again!
