Sometimes I am too clever for my own good. The mouseovers had the g cut out in the center and so were letting the 3D g show through. I think I have solved the problem.

Thanks for the extensive tutorial, Gary. Very informative. The 'g' on your website looks great.
I noticed though that there is still a shift in the text when I mouseover the 'Ilustration' and '3D Stereogram' buttons. I noticed that these mouseovers are linked to .jpegs and not to .pngs as the other ones. So, the .jpegs contain parts of the text and they don't allign completely with the original text.
