    Default Problems with IE9

In a bored moment, I decided to download Internet Explorer 9 and have since had a number of problems with runtime errors when trying to view uploaded Web Designer pages.

    Anyone else experiencing similar problems?

I had all sorts of problems with ie9 and reverted back to ie8. Also I see that the full blown ie9 is now out, do you have the beta version, If not download the new full version and see if the problems are still there.

Internet explorer 9 is 'Beta' still...that means it is buggy still...don't rely on it working as IE8 that has the bugs mostly fixed..

Actually IE 9's latest offering is not a beta but their RC1 their release candidate. I did have the beta and it was indeed buggy, but the Release Candidate seems to be working well for me. They have a lot of HTML 5 and CSS 3 features included now making it inline with Chrome, safari and firefox. Good news for designers of HTML 5.

It is confusing about IE9 being beta or release candidate when Microsoft's site is still pushing the beta version more than the release candidate.

Today I located and downloaded the release candidate and it is more stable than the beta. Only installed it on one of my Windows 7 machines so far though.

A release candidate is still a beta version, just a different name. They could continue with the naming scheme, rc1, rc2, rc3, etc. It'll still be considered beta until the production version is actually released. That's when you'll have the option to update it via their windows update tool or it's provided with new installations.
