    Default Code on every page Necessary?

    I always go into Dreamweaver and place this code on my index page after I upload my website from "Designer Pro 6"
    This is the code.
    <meta name="robots" content="index,follow">
    <meta name="revisit-after" content="14 days">
    <meta name="googlebot" content="index,follow">
    <meta name="msnbot" content="index,follow">

    I was wondering if I needed to have this on every page of my website in order for them to be included in the search engines?

    Also, is there a way to place this code into my pages as a place holder, so that I don't have to do this step after updates to my websites?
    I want to still be working in this program when I'm an old man sitting in my recliner.

    Those meta tags apply to the page not the site as a whole but you don't need them for your site to be indexed. You can include the code using a placeholder in DP6 with the special name <head>.

    Hi!

    For the robots bit, just create a robots.txt file in notepad/word etc save as .txt and upload to the root directory of your website.

    Thanks,
    That saves me a lot of time and worry. I'll do that now. Cool.
