Default Trying to colour a line drawing!

I'm sure it's a simple answer, but I can't find it in my searches. I'm trying to create two coloured swirls side by side. I used the freehand tool to create them and the editor tool to shape them, but I can't although I've tried connect them into closed shapes so that I can add colour. I tried to merge, close the shapes, convert to editable shapes, convert even to bitmap. I also wish to delete the outlines so it's just two bands of colour, nothing else. I know how to do that provided I can still treat them as structured lines. What am I doing wrong?

Convert the lines to shapes, add shapes, break shapes. You should get three objects to color. The line ends need to overlap as thy do in the drawing.

Thumbs up Re: Trying to colour a line drawing!

Hello Metro...all you have to do is make sure the item is selected and then-- Arrange > Break shapes this will get it to the state you want it. ...I attached the broke .xar file if you want it already done for you lol
