can't upload my site

i'm using xara web designer 6 and until now i have not have not been able
to upload my site all the time it stop @ 49% and writes

the connection with the server was reset

can someone help me out to upload my site

Have you tried publishing to a folder in your harddrive? Mainly to see if it still gets stuck @ 49%. if it does then there is a problem with your file. Try saving it as another name ("Save as") to see if that fixes it.

The method I use to upload is to export to the hard drive then use an FTP software like FileZilla (free) to connect to the server and upload.

Are you uploading to the right directory? Some web hosts have special directories for you to upload your files to. These are sometimes named public_html, htdocs, etc. If this is true, have you listed the sub directory at the bottom of the publish menu?

If you have a lot of photo images on your website, go to the Utilities menu and select Optimize all JEPGs. Do this step. It reduces the resolution of all the photos to 96dpi. This saves memory.
