    Default A Bomb

Saw this picture on the net and wondered how easy it would be to draw.
Well, there was a lot more involved than I thought.

The file is attached for you to change things if you want to show what you would do different?!
I can't say that I like everything in the drawing so remove the clipview and make your changes.

It is a very pretty bomb. Great reflections Rik.

Might make it more dramatic to highlight the fuse and make the rest of the bomb darker.

Thanks very much for taking the time to give your comments pauland, beret and gray.
It's really nice that you log on to give your feedback.

Gary: I will have to have a look and see how you achieved your 'dark' look.
    Brilliant.

    Beautiful drawing, Rik.

The first thing I noticed was the great big window reflection on the left of the bomb. That would indicate a lot of light in the original picture that you decided to replace with dark. When changing the background from light to dark, you need to change the giant reflection too, or people will ask, “Where did all the light go?”

    Well, some people.

    Thanks for your comments, everyone.

James: I know what you mean about where the light is coming from but the bigger challenge for me was to get the shine that goes along the top half of the bomb (not the white reflections that can easily be seen). This was one of the reasons for a previous thread from me on TG. It's about trying to get fills and things along a curve.
Just take the body of the bomb to one side and remove the clipview on that and you will see how I went about achieving that.
Of, course, many Xperts might have a better way, but you can see how managed to get the end result.
I also did some work on the shadow of the bomb but then when I put it on a dark background, all the effort seemed to disappear!

Any and all comments and suggestion and ideas and your interpretations are more than welcome.
