Continuous Form Entry

I have a dear friend who is dying from cancer. He does not want to use a web site like caring bridge. He has asked me to design a web site where he can make entries whenever he would like. I can add graphics and photos to the page for him.

I want to help him during this time and this would be a great way for me to do that.

I thought I could use a form with a text field but I have never done that before.

I have gotten so many good ideas from the people on this forum I would like to have some suggestions.
