    Default Support for SVG

    Currently using Designer Pro 6
I have had Xara back to ver 3 and have been kinda hoping that support for svg would be forthcoming. It has not so I put the request on this forum.
It would be great to be able to load an svg graphic convert it to curves and edit.
    Keep up the good work

    Hi

its the best way I know [although you could also use illustrator too if you happen to have it]

SVG support would be nice - a start was made with an export filter, but it seems to have gone on the back-burner...

SVG is becoming the new standard for web now that Internet Explorer 9, though not everyone can use 9, its only windows 7. But all other browsers do have great support now or very soon. Also with animations.

Its also used in many mobile applications. For example Nokia QT has great support.

Actually Internet Explorer 9 beta runs on Vista as well as Windows 7 (32bit and/or 64bit). If you decide to use the IE9 beta beware that it can cause printer issues. I had to rollback to IE8 on my 32bit Vista, 32bit Windows 7 and 64bit Windows 7 machines and reinstall my printer drivers to regain the ability to print. It is very possible that the latest beta may have corrected this problem but I don't want to give it a try.

The SVG support in IE9 was not very impressive in the original beta.

Just for the record I’ve been using Explorer 9 beta since it came out, on a Windows 7, 64 bit, and have had no problems with anything, including printers. Everything works perfectly.
