Need recommendation for online calendar that works in a placeholder

I'm working on a site for a musical group and need a recommendation for an online calendar to incorporate into the site. The band would update it, and I'm pretty sure they are mostly web illiterate, so it needs to be simple and ad-free. I've used Google Calendar and it is an option I could use again, but I'm not overly happy with it. Anyone have any suggestions? I've also used BraveNet but they place ads everywhere on the calendar. All recommendations are appreciated!
