Default Blends/fills/ feathers on a shape.

Just when it was getting interesting, this thread was closed. So, as I had cause to make a blend/fill along a curve, I thought I'd show how I did it in this new thread. I was making a logo for a German restaurant and included in the requirements was for a graphic of a beer stein and perhaps a chef's hat. The handle of the stein presented me with the problem that needed resolving. I came up with a method that as far as I'm aware wasn't discussed. I drew the shape of the object requiring a fill along its shape and gave it a flat fill. On top of this I drew a line of the same size as this shape coloured it white and then feathered the line. Seemed to work for me, if not for the person who requested the logo. My idea was to give the stein a chef's hat that could be construed as the foam or head on top of the beer. He wasn't impressed.
Oh well, back to the drawing board.
    Saludos,
    Bob.

I like your solution to the feather question, it works for me. I like the illustration too.

The design, however, doesn't work for me. To me it's suggests a bar, not a restaurant. I agree with the client on this one. But blame him for not giving you a detailed enough brief, lol.
If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.
