Talking Very Good Alternative to Z-brush

Since not being active here for a period of time, I was interested if anyone else is using the 3D sculpting app 3D Coat? According to what I read, it is a very viable alternative to Z-Brush at a much lesser expense. So I have purchased the program but have not begun using it yet. I was interested if anyone here uses it? thnx.

TwidderBird, nice to see ya kickin around again. I use Zbrush so I can't comment on 3D coat. Once you given it a spin please tell us what you think and feel free to show us anything you create as well.

thanks mike. its nice to be back to the first graphics website I ever became a part of, and I feel where I got my start in learning digital art!

@handrawn...I anticipate you will enjoy it. I'm eager to hear from you. when I've worked on modeling I feel more like an engineer than an artist, and that's the goal behind 3D Coat- to bring the artististic feel back into 3D.

as much as anything its because we are going to have to relocate - and that means an awful lot [decades worth] of 'weeding out' and quite a lot of enforced catching up and setting in order to be done first

but yes I will have a play....
