Photo Levels Grey Point tool doesn't work when zoomed in

Pretty self-explanatory...

Create a "Blank photo", import something, zoom in a few times (for example, on the eyes - which are a sensible point for white balance), start the Photo tool, then the Levels tool, then drag the "Grey point" picker over the image. Nothing happens.

Hi Alexander,

It seems that when zoomed in on the photo nothing happens if you use the Black or White point picker tools as well. Would be nice if it worked when zoomed in on points of interest.

Might well be a bug because instead of zooming, for example, 2x you can temporarily enlarge the photo 2x via the info-bar and the picker tools will work. Once done, simply resize back to the original.

Well, of course it's a bug - it's just stunning how something this obvious can be overlooked in QA... (yes, I know, I complain too much)

Hi Alexander,
the levels tool colour picker works ok for me from 10% past 1000% following your method. Tried with black grey and white points with no problems.
Using Windows 7 64bit here.

Windows XP 64 here and only works at zoom levels below 400% (I think)...

I'm inclined to think the sampling may be dependant upon zoom, but I could be wrong

I may have stumbled upon a related bug. For my Christmas card I used a fractal plasma fill to make a starry night. For some reason, at some zoom levels the sky was nearly black, as intended, but at other zoom levels it was a much lighter grey shade. When I copied those objects to a new document, the problem did not appear. I use XD6, and I got the same effect at two PC's.

Attached are two screenshots of the weird zooming effects.

If somebody at Xara wants the original file for debugging, let me know.

It worked for me (Windows 7 64bit), but how are you zooming in? I use ctrl/wheel. When I right click zoom on a selected photo sometimes it starts up Photoshop, hence the wheel.
