    Default full background

I hope someone can help me with this.

I have someone who I am showing xara web designer 6 to and he has set it up on his laptop. He is trying to create a website with an image as a background, he image is a decent size but when he sets the image as a background it starts tilling from the left of the page, see attached. Any ideas why this is as I have never done a full image as background.Click image for larger version.

Looks like he is using a single graphic for the entire background.
Try resizing the graphic then save as .jpg and try again.

thanks for the quick reply, but I've tried to resize the image as well and no matter what size it always aligns the image to the left of the page instead of centering it as he wants.Click image for larger version.

Then increase your page width to about 1024 px

    My apologies Drwd!

Seems like i've had too much turkey today, just tried your tutorial and it works brilliantly. it is strange though that we should have to do this, but it can be done and with the do not scroll background tweek it looks great.

thanks again and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
