Default Any way to control _blank page size?

I have a problem. I want to place a form on a webpage that pops up when a button is clicked.

Ideally it would be nice to do it as a layer since the form is only three fields. But when I do this, the popup layer disappears when the user clicks to place the cursor in the first text box.

So the only other way is to open a "new window" when the user clicks the button to fill out the form. I'd like the "new window" to have smaller dimensions than fill page size, like, say, 400x400, which would be more than enough.

Is there any way to do this? (or for that matter, make it possible to complete a form that "lives" in a layer?

    thanks

    I figured it out.

i added (lock) to the name of the layer where I wanted t put the form. This allows people to click inside the form without the placeholder layer disappearing.
