Default Passwording pages in Web Designer v6

I need to create passworded pages for my clients on my website. Is there a way or a widget that will allow me to do this?

    Thanks,

    Roger

    Welcome to TalkGraphics Roger

I did a search for password protect http://www.talkgraphics.com/search.php?searchid=196383 Have a look through these. This question comes up frequently and you should find some suggestions and solutions here.

Gary searches on TG are not retained, your link opens an empty search result.

Weird. I just clicked the link and it opened the search. It must have been cached in my browser.

OK So you need to search in the search box on the top right of the page, for password protect or password.

Woody (tg member) suggested I use coffee cup software when I posted this question - hta access works like a dream, simple and easier to do than at the server (IMO i am with 1+1) but it needs to be an apache server not MS so check. You can trial it for free at coffeecup.com - web access manager is the product i use.

I have been using the service on my webhost, Network Solutions. But I tried Coffee Cup Website Access Manager and I agree with the scrofulous canine, it works fine and is very easy to use for either an entire site, or parts of a site.

They have video on the Coffee Cup website which are user friendly and easy to understand and implement.
