How do i add a zip file to be downloaded

I am trying to add a zip file to my webpage so it can be downloaded by visitors the zip contains website templates.

I have uploaded the zip to my web server and placed it in the index_html_files folder and added a link to my website so the file can be found.

however when clicking the link i just get an error message saying internet explorer cant display webpage instead of opening a download box?

Ive looked online for tutorials and tried them all but cant get it to work.

Im using web designer 6 thanks.

The link should have index_htm_files/name.zip and uncheck 'correct automatically'

Maybe best way in future to use xara's new 'Link to file' ?

This link option is useful if you want to add a document, movie or any other file to your website to make it available to your visitors. For example you may have a PDF document that you want to make available.

Select the object or text that you want to link. Then turn on this Link to file option and use the Browse button to browse for the file on your computer. The name of the file appears in the text field to the left of the Browse button. Click OK and your link is applied.

link to file works well didnt even realise i could do this totally missed this option cheers.
