Help To Make This A 3D Spinning Logo

Hi,

I am new to this forum and am trying to make this a spinning logo in xara 3d but can't seem to be able to do this. I have looked thru a couple of the tutorials but still can't get a basic spinning 3d side of things any help would be appreciated.

I can do the top part of the logo in xara graphic & design but how do you trace around the writing. I no the font is Acorde Semi Bold Italic but can't seem to find this font anywhere. Any help would be great.

I Have tried to trace this but not getting anywhere in xara graphic there must be an easier way to do this ? any other programs that I could use

I'll walk you through it:

open your logo in xara graphic - right-click on black on the colour line and click on 'set contone dark colour' - your logo will turn grey
select the enhance photos tool and on the infobar at the top insert a value of -100[minus 100] in the 'set photo brightness box' - your logo should turn black

let me know when you have done this...

Techno - Are you doing this project for a Holiday Inn?

If so, they probably have access to corporate logos in various formats.

If you can get a vector format such as AI (Illustrator) or PDF, you can save yourself a bunch of trouble and have the best quality image to work with.

The next best thing is a large format logo. If you have to do a bitmap trace, it will be magnitudes more accurate the larger the logo.

ok make sure that your logo is selected and then from the arrange menu click 'create bitmap copy' - a dialog box will open - set the clour depth to 'true colour' [NOT true colour+alpha] then click on the 'bitmap size' tab and change the dpi value to 300 and then click create - this will create a new copy of the logo, black with a white background

Answer to the above question is yes and no. I am doing disco's in one of their hotels and running thru a projector with music videos, graphics etc.... and I already have a logo for our company i.e. disco company which I run thru Virtual DJ as an AVI file which I created in xara 36 but I was wanting to do something similar with their logo.
