    Default PSP X3 DetectLanguage() Faliure. Exiting

    Now another problem with X3. I was still having freezing problems with magic wand and red eye. Clicking either of the tools would cause the cursor to stay in that mode (magic wand or red eye removal) regardless of where I moved the cursor in PSP. Normally when you move out of the image editing area, the cursor returns to the normal Windows cursor. PSP would sit there and do nothing.

    So I un-installed thoroughly using Corel instructions here
    http://corel.custhelp.com/app/answer...shop-pro-photo

    Then re-installed and ran the 2 patches here
    http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satelli...=1259872271743

    Plus a third update from Help > Updates in PSP X3.

    PSP will start one time. After that when I try to run it (usually after having to close it through Task Manager because of a freeze), I get this error

    DetectLanguage() Failure. Exiting.

    PSP doesn't even start now.

    System: Windows 7 64 bit.

    Any help appreciated.

    Default Re: PSP X3 DetectLanguage() Faliure. Exiting

    Have resolved the problem. The discussion at the URL below was a clue:
    http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic....8788&view=next

    This post pointed to this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Corel\Paint Shop Pro\13\Installer\Lang

    However, in my case the key was slightly different. On searching in RegEdit I found this key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Corel\Pain t Shop Pro\13\Installer

    Then on setting "Lang" to "EN" then PSP X3 started up normally.

    My goodness.
