Mouse Over Button/Roll Over Problem

Hi,

I have downloaded a Trail version of Xara Web Designer 6 on. I am trying to use the Mouse Over/ Roll Over Button but it just don't work.. I have followed the online video instructions how to create and Export & Preview Website.

Can anyone tell me if the Mouse Over/Roll Over button work with the trail version?

Hi there are no restrictions in functionality within the trial version. Is the button displaying in its mouseover state? If so perhaps the button is linked to the current page in which case this would be expected behaviour. Right click on the button, select web properties followed by the link tab. Link the button to a web address or select the link to drop list and select <Next Page> and apply the changes. Preview the page to see if affects the button behaviour.

If problems persist then please upload your .web file

Welcome to TalkGraphics Rich

1. Draw a rectangle
   
2. Add text.
   
3. Group the text and the rectangle.
   
4. Copy the button to the clipboard.
   
5. Open the Page and Layer Gallery (keyboard shortcut F10)
   
6. Select the title bar for MouseOver Layer
   
7. From the Edit menu, select Paste in Place.
   
8. Select the title bar for MouseOff Layer.
   
9. Drag a selection rectangle around the button with the Selector Tool (the arrow pointer). The status line in the lower left corner of the screen should read something like 2 Groups Selected on 2 Layers.
   
10. From the Arrange menu, select Apply Soft Group.
    
11. Click the Link Properties icon on the Infobar.
    
12. In the web address text entry box, key in # (this loads the same page. You can use any URL you wish as well as another page on your site).
    
13. Press the Export and Preview icon to see the button in action.
