Start a blank (separate) page from a menu item

Hi,

Is there a way to start a new window (i.e not to lose the existing page) in a menu item?

I cheated by simply putting a fake button alongside the existing menu and then linking this to the new page and setting the open link in dialogue to 'New window (_blank)'.

This looked OK, but obviously only works for a top-level link. Also, I don't think it very clever.

From the link dialog in web properties, set the Open link drop down list box to show the value 'New window (Blank)'
