Web designer 6 adding DL Guard code to members only pages?

Hi i am trying to protect some of my pages using DL guard http://www.dlguard.com/dlginfo/index.php

I need to insert the html code into a certain part of the pages i need protected for it to work how can i do this?

I know how to use a place holder and insert the code into my webpage but how do i insert it into a certain part of the pages html code?

This is the instructions provided from dl guard, and what im trying to do:

"This code is to be inserted into ALL of the membership pages that you want protected.

IMPORTANT: You need to paste the code snippet at the very top of your webpage, BEFORE your HTML tags".

So basically i need the code to appear before the HTML tags for it to work anyone know how to do this?

Name the place holder "<head>" and then the code in the placeholder will appear in the head section of the page's code.

You might try putting the code in a placeholder which is named <html> - see attachment

I have never heard of a request to place code before the HTML tags before.

Hi ive tried to get this to work it doesnt work.

However i have read the entire guide to building a membership site with dl guard and i need to save my pages as a php file not html so my
home page should be index.php for example not index.html.

This is the part of the guide im refering to on dl guards site:

Custom membership pages:

The creation of your membership site is completely up to you.

All you need to do is build your webpages as usual but make sure you save them as PHP file. All this means is that you need to save them with a ".php" file extension. So instead of saving your page as index.html, you'd save it as index.php.

Then all you need to do is paste the code snippet as described above into the start of each page. This gives you complete and 100% control over your membership site.

So i guess all i need to do is be able to have my pages saved as a .php file which i dont think xara web designer 6 will allow as its only a html creater isnt it?

It does work. See attached where I used a named placeholder - <html> - for the words "Hello World" which, as you can see, appear above the code.

yea i can get the code to appear at the top of my source code however the script wont work and protect my pages as my pages need to be saved as a php file extension
not html?

How do i do this with xara wd6 is there a manual way to change this?
