    A little more work.
    I am sure this has been done before in X3D but I can't find it. Any clues?

    An elegant animation, Anas. I don't recall having seen anything like this before on here.

    Thanks,
    I found the thread;

    I would have found it earlier but for some reason 'DNA' doesn't work with the search engine. Maybe I should have used Google.
    I think Mike was right, the displacements are too fine for a DNA.

    These look very smooth, Anas, am I right in thinking each pair of atoms is a single object?

    Yes, I found that a DNA image could easily get too complicated to see the spiral properly. Simpler was better.
    I especially like your second animation, with the metallic bonds.

    Thanks Mike,
    Yes each pair is a singe object.
    The main purpose was not to create DNA molecules but to create an animation without the blown up sizing pixels.
