i hope this is the right forum. i've been trying to get a love heart shape in PovRay but i cant seem to get it at all.
I tried using two spheres and a cone but it looks really bad.
has anyone got any ideas on how i could do it?
Thanks in advance.

What modeler are you using?
I would model a heart shape from a single 3D sphere.
Im using the povray raytracer.
thats exactly the shape im looking for. but how did you manipulate the sphere? can you do it from withen povray or do i need to use a modeler and then import the shape?
thanks,
Ross
Welcome to TG Ross.
Try this free box modeler,
http://www.wings3d.com/
There is a povray export plug-in available for it.
Hi Ross,
Welcome to the forum. As Mike pointed out, you need another app to create a mesh object to use in POVRay.
The attached pov file contains the mesh data exported from Wings3D. Take a look at the file in POVRay, the mesh is very complicated and would be very hard to code by hand.

Ross, I'm still learning to use Wings3D myself. It is a lot of fun to play around with and can produce some amazing results. I hope you enjoy getting to know the program.
