Default Nav bar color style in WD6

I have used a nav bar template and opened the nav editing menu and changed background and text colors. They are applied to the sub-menus but not to the top level menu. How can I apply these changes to to all levels of the nav bar?

    Hi Doc

You have to rebuild the button. To do this double click on the Navigation Bar to open the Navigation Bar dialog.

On the bottom left corner there is an option to Ungroup to Edit Graphics.

Delete all the buttons except one. If prompted to delete on all pages say yes.

Then with the button selected, Arrange > Remove Soft Group. This will leave you with two buttons state that you can edit as necessary.

When you have edited the buttons as desired, select both and Arrange > Apply Soft Group. Then create a new Navigation Bar (Last icon on the Web Properties fly out menu).

You will have to recreate your sub menus at this point.
