Size of Video widget on web page?

Hi all
I'm brand new to this and to using web designer. Please be gentle.

I am designing a new web site and it looks good. However I imported a video clip from Vimeo and placed it on my page. Made it as small as I thought would be good to allow other videos to also be shown. When I open the actual web page the image is far to large. Can I alter this in Xara or does the problem start way back in Vimeo, or even when first producing the DVD.

Look in the script you paste into placeholder text entry box in Web Designer. You should be able to adjust the size in the script.

By the script do you mean the code that I put into the HTML box?

Yep. Have a look and see if it has a width and height setting.

Just tried this before copyingin Vimeo. I altered the size. The image on my web page comes in smaller to match the adjustment, BUT the actual footage is also smaller ie. it only shows a part of the film eg the top corner instead of the full size.

Making progress. Although the image on the web site page is a small corner of the video, when you click on it starts to play. You then have to double click and it fills your screen full size. This is not satisfactory as I need to put a load of info on screen for visitors to the site. Any suggestions?

None from me. Have you looked at the Vimeo website to see if they have any tips or suggestions or user settings?

You could try setting width to 100% and height to 100%
