You're right. I've found the best option is to convince them to pay me to do the updates rather than doing the updates themselves. To those that insist on doing updates themselves or using XWD software, I make sure they understand that they will need to pay me for training/assistance/repair, and I have them sign a contract confirming that they understand this.

So far I haven't had any problem with customers understanding this, but I have been paid a few times to fix there problems .
