    Default Need help please!!

I have a picture that has a strobe light or light reflection in this image on the right top corner. I removed the subjects. How do you get rid of the light abnormality without getting into RGB channels and more hours of headaches. Does Xara have a quick fix I am not seeing since I have been trying to do this in PhotoShop CS4?

This is a job really for PS and it is going to take time as the image is really blown. If you really want to try it it Xara you will need to bone up in the use of the mask tool and photo tool to enhance the area and it may take a few attempts at doing this. Also in Xara you could try using the clone tool after correcting and using the mask tool to clone small area which are still not correct. If you want to use the right tool have a look at this vid in PS and I know the example here is not as bad as yours but you could have a try at it: http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to-re...otoshop-16530/

Hope this helps but because it is a tree with a lot of visual and colour changes it is going to be difficult and there is no magic wand to wave over the area to make a wonderful correction. It is a lot more than just adjusting the levels in RGB.
    Design is thinking made visual.

    Hi Jen,

A quick attempt to fix the flared area using Designer Pro 6. I began with a black ellipse made into an editable shape and then given a Flat 50% Enhance transparency configured as a -70% Brightness adjustment.

P.S. I used simple decision.... cutout flared part of the shape, than a bit play with levels, aded a bit change in white balance (photo temparature), and finally just feathered cuted shape

    simple solutions are better one

Here is my attempt. A simple cut-out of the affected area which is overlaid and tweaked with the photo tool, a little darker, a little contrast etc etc :

The second image illustrates the importance of the composition of your main subject and how the background can become comparatively insignificant :

The third image shows how you can further enhance the importance of your main subject by increasing the depth of field with some selective blurring of the background :
