Is it possible to take a character from one font and put it in another font?

I want to add to another Font class TT that I have with the one I bought T1, PostScript....

There were some characters missing in the TT Goudy HandTooled font....

With the right software what you are asking is possible. However, there is an issue about the copyright of the two fonts. Even if the two fonts come from the same foundry, they have seperate copyrights.

With that said, you would need a font creation program that can convert the T1 hinting to TT hinting. You may also have to adjust the size of the glyph as well.

If you can afford Fontographer, that is considered by many to be the best. I use FontLab.

I wouldn't recommend actually copying characters from one font to another, because of the copyright issue.

If you are just using the font to make graphics there is little point into going to all that trouble to modify the fonts. Just take the characters you want as separate objects and put them together.

If you are going to use them on your computer for a program it would make some sense.

But if it is for a web page, or for a document you are going to give to someone else, it won't do any good because the vistors computer or the person you send the document to won't have that modified font to view it with.

Just copy the characters from a font that is similar to the one you are using and paste it into your text where you want it. No need to make a lot of fuss about this.

Many fonts use a generic set of extended characters anyway.
