    Default Browser access

    Hi All,

While building a website, access to web previews stopped and I got the following message:

Navigation to the webpage was canceled
What you can try: Retype the address.

This happens not only with the website I am building but any
of the design gallery web templates I try to open in my browser.

What's the solution to this? [or where should I "Retype the address"?]

    Many thanks in advance

    John

Have you posted the files to your IPS on the web? And if so, is your home page titled index.htm or index.html?

Or is this happening when you try to preview the site in Xara?

Looks like you may have fallen foul of a WUD (Windows UpDate) which has messed with your security zones.

Please see this Microsoft KB article for the solution:

It happens when I try to view my work offline in my browser.

I just added some windows updates so I will check that out.

    Thanks

    Thumbs up Re: Browser access

    Hi Again,

    Gary & Sledger

It's working now that I have installed IE8 and supporting updates.

I'm wondering if I would have had this problem if Firefox was the preview browser? I don't use IE for much other than downloading Firefox and Google Chrome plus checking if my websites play OK in IE.

    Anyway thanks a lot!
