Default modify rounder corner rectangle radius

    Hi
I use Photoshop CS5 and I wonder is there a way to change the radius of rounder corner rectangle after I create it , or I have to create it again ?

If what you have created is a bitmap, i.e. pixels, you'll have to erase it, change the radius and redo it. If what you have created is a filled path, i.e. akin to vector pixels, you can edit it

Using just the Rounded rectangle tool and the Pen tool, see attached :

To select individual points, hold down CTRL and the pen icon will turn into the cursor you see in the images. To constrain the direction of travel, hold down SHIFT

In the illustration the corner radiuses are proportionally reduced and because we are using a filled path instead of a raster shape, the result is as good as the original shape. Also, being a path, the fill is infinitely editable

If you're not used to working with vectors (as opposed to raster/pixels, Photoshop's main strength) it can be a bit of a challenge and, to be honest, it's not what Photoshop does best. If you want infinite and live control over your graphics I would suggest a program like Xara Designer Pro (see other forums). I used to be a huge fan of Adobe software but I cannot recommend Xara's software highly enough. But if you are new to working with vectors (i.e. you are not an Illustrator user) I would recommend taking your time to learn this new discipline. But in the end it's worth it because it open up a whole new world of graphic possibilities. And, in truth, learning about vectors in Xara is a great deal simpler than trying to learn it in Illustrator which, like taking a Sherman tank into a supermarket, is simply overkill !

Anyway, I enjoyed helping you and hope you have solved your problem, even if you did it the old way!
