How to change coloured logo to grey like sample?

I have many logos...

What format are your coloured logos - vector or bitmap? Also, what program do you intend to use to make them greyscale?
If you are using Designer Pro, the attachment will explain (I hope).

Place a black rectangle over the logo.

Select the Transparency Tool (F6).

Apply a 0% Saturation transparency.

They are all JPG, GIF, PNG.
Software Webdesigner. I try with the Camera icon to enter the Enhance tool.
Is this correct way?
