Registering file types

First on XX5 and now on XD6, i get the message:

"This version of Xara (version) is currently not registered for.XAR files. Do you want to register it?"

Is there somewhere in Xara that i can register the file type, or could it be a Windows Registry error?

It is not that serious, but i would love to not see those lines when starting Xara.

Hi,
I believe you just accept the offer...basically it just means that Deisgner is the program for opening the xar or web extension.

Try running once as Administrator and choosing it to see if that solves the problem. Could be windows or something else blocking it's ability to write to the registry.

You also see this if you were to run version 5 after version 6 or vice versa, since they both want to be the application of choice.
