Can the background continue - to fill the screen?

OK, so let's look at the Social Networker template. Is it possible to get the black header - the middle color - and the footer - any color - to continue to fill the screen? Is this an option I do not know how to do?

It's quite easy to do, you just need to create a horizontally tillable image to use as the background JEN.
