    Default Aluminium (Aluminum)

In preparation for our 10th. wedding anniversary (aluminium) I thought I'd make early preparations for a card design. I have done very little with Xara over the past 3 months, and I thought that what I wanted to do would take some considerable time. In under 3 hours I managed to get a result I'm fairly happy with. No filters or bitmap textures used (except the 2 shadows).
    Saludos,
    Bob.

That's a really impressive circular brushing effect .. how did you achieve that?

There may be an easier way, but I drew a circle, added a contour, cloned the circle and placed it below then made a blend between the two. I cloned the blend and placed it alongside the first blend, cloned both and repeated, cloned all four and repeated and so on.
For the background I filled a rectangle with a multi point linear fill, cloned the rectangle and gave it a flat fill with a fractal plasma transparency.
For the heart, I made a megapoint repeating elliptical fill (quite fiddly as I placed loads of points along the fill arrow) then cloned the heart shape and gave it a flat fill with a multi point conical transparency. The 3D effect for the sides of the heart were two hand drawn shapes given a multipoint linear fill.

@wizard509 - thanks very much, Larry.

    Saludos,
    Bob.
