File Compatibility

I was really hoping that Designer Pro could be a "bridge" product for me. My production computer is a Windows PC that must use Corel Draw. My preferred design computer is my Mac which is using Adobe CS3. While I can save files on either system as EPS files, there are sometimes compatibility lapses. I was please to read that Designer Pro could read AI and CDR files. Unfortunately it only seems to be able to read CDR files up to version 5 (I think) and I am on version 10, which isn't the newest. I don't know what version AI files it reads, because I haven't been able to successfully import or open any. Even EPS files created by either program have problems opening. Is this a known issue? Is Xara working on it? Frankly, this is a deal breaker for me.

With so many versions being released by quite a few software companies I don't think it is unreasonable for Xara not to keep updating their filters when there is a universal format called PDF.
